Last day of the road trip
After four days of hotel room coffee, we are flying down the road with Starbux in our systems.
Arches was amazing, by the way. So interesting to go from the spooky lushness of Yellowstone to the starkness of Arches. (By the way, we didn't see the recently fallen arch.)
Driving along a small riverside road to rejoin the interstate, we kept passing long hotel ranches with lights spread out along the water. To me, they looked a little like Dharma Initiative indoctrination centers. But then again, I am a daughter of the East Coast, and desolation freaks me out a bit. Let's just say that I'm ready for Denver in every way!

How I know I've spent lots of time with T
I sort of think that the William Shatner song on T's playlist is pretty good. She tried to sell it to me months ago based on the fact that it's a Ben Folds duet. It took a while to grow on me, granted. But this is how I know we are spending quality time together.
Granted, the air is thin, so my defenses are pretty low. Also, it is 100 degrees. To a Seattleite like me, it feels like we are vacationing on the sun.
